The "2RS" suffix indicates that the bearing is equipped with two rubber seals, one on each side. This design effectively prevents the ingress of dust, water, and contaminants while retaining the factory-applied grease, making it "lubricated for life."
While the 6805 2RS uses rubber contact seals for superior moisture protection, the 6805 ZZ uses non-contact metal shields. The ZZ variant offers lower friction for higher speed applications but provides less protection against liquids compared to the 2RS.
Typically, a high-quality 6805 2RS from SILL BEARING features a dynamic load rating (Cr) of approximately 4.3 kN and a static load rating (Cor) of 3.45 kN, though this can vary slightly based on the precision grade and steel quality.
Standard 6805 2RS bearings with nitrile rubber (NBR) seals are rated for temperatures up to 120°C. For higher temperatures, we recommend using Viton seals and high-temp grease, which we can provide upon request.
